How do I set up an integration between CleanManager and Dynamics 365 Business Central?
Note CleanManager only supports Single tenant Business Central with authentication through Microsoft Azure. |
To be able to integrate CleanManager with Dynamics 365 Business Central, the following three accesses are required:
- Admin access to Azure
- Admin access to Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Admin access to CleanManager
Should you not have admin access to one of these three software, it is vital that you contact those who have, since without, it will not be possible to achieve a successful integration.
The required information from Dynamics 365 Business Central, for the integration to Cleanmanager is:
- Environment
- workflowCustomers URL
- Permissions for CleanManager

2. Part: This is how you set up Dynamics 365 Business Central for an integration with CleanManager
This part of the guide will focus on how to acquire the name of your Environment, as well as how to grant permission to CleanManager, to integrate with Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Start by clicking on ?, followed by Help & Support | |
Scroll down to Report a problem, where you will find your Environment. As a standard, the name of the Environment is Production. Should this not be the case, copy the name. |

Insert your Environment under Environment in CleanManager | |
Search thereafter for Azure Active Directory and click on it | |
Click on + New | |
Under Client ID insert your Application (client) ID from Azure | |
Under Description we recommend writing CleanManager. This is to make it easier, in case of trouble transferring data, to trouble search. |

Set the State to Enabled | |
Scroll down to the button of the page and Add a new permission under User Permission Sets | |
Search the list for D365 Full access and click on OK. Check the top right corner, if it says ✔Saved before proceeding with the following steps. |

Part 2.1 This is how you set up Web Services in Business Central
In this part, we will go through the process of how you find your workflowCustomer OData V4 URL.
Search for Web Services in the search bar and click on it | |
Look for workflowCustomers with the Object ID 6408 in the list.
If you cannot find workflowCustomers with the Object ID 6408, follow the steps from step 5 onwards. |

Copy the OData V4 URL Before proceeding to the next part, make sure that it says ✔Saved in the top right corner. |

Insert the link in your CleanManager under workflowCustomers |

Note From time to time, errors may occur in the link, when copying it directly from Business Central. To avoid those errors, we recommend copying the link in the following way: |

Part 3: This is how you complete your integration set up between CleanManager and Business Central
Insert the OData V4 URL link, which you copied under Web Services in Business Central, under workflowCustomers in CleanManager | |
Click thereafter on Saved | |
After the integration has been completed, choose the company, which you want to integrate to |

Make sure that the company name fits the one found in the URL of the workflowCustomers |

Choose if you want to use the item names from Business Central or if you want to use the Cleaning types, for invoicing and click on Save |

Click on Customers in CleanManager, under Integrations and choose Business Central | |
Click thereafter on Invoicing, under Integrations and choose Business Central |

NOTE When your Client Secret expires, go back to integrations in CleanManager, click on Business Central and insert a new Client Secret. To be able to do this, you will have to log into Azure as an Admin, go to App registrations and find CleanManager. Click on it and afterwards go to Certificates and secrets. Create a new Client Secret and insert it into CleanManager. |
