Enhanced flexibility with absence hour rates added to the wage profiles
A new category has been added to the wage profiles: Hourly absence rates, which enable you to add rates for your employees' absence hours. These can be set to switch between different rates after a certain time automatically.
If you add an absence hourly rate to a wage profile, this rate will apply to all absence hours that an employee has in a payroll period. If no hourly rate has been specified for an absence hour type, the rate you specify in the wage profile will always apply. This is regardless of which type of absence hour type has been used to register the absence. In other words, you can use three different types of absence hours in the calendar for one employee (Sick Hours, Course Hours, Time Off), but the rate will solely be defined through the wage profile.
This provides greater flexibility and control over your wage settings, allowing you to adjust them as needed.
This is what a wage profile can look like, which has been set to increase the wage rate of absence hours after a certain time. |

Improved overview of absence hours and calculations
Another thing that has been updated is the basis for the wage calculation itself. The calculation of absence hours has now been added to show which absence hours are calculated according to which rate.
As shown in the next image, the absence hours are now calculated together if the wage profile determines their rate. If a rate has been specified for a type of absence hour, it will still appear as a separate equation in the wage calculation.
This picture illustrates the wage calculation for an employee, wherein two distinct types of absence hours rates are defined by the wage profile, while the other is determined by the specific absence hour type. |
What happens to my current wage and absence hour set up?
Your current wage and absence hour setup will remain unchanged. If you prefer not to utilize the new functions, no action is required on your part. Your existing rates for absence hours will still be connected to your existing absence hour types.
